Happy Solstice everyone..

Reflecting on the importance of seasons as I look out of the window at lush fields strewn with poppies. Not only in nature but in our personal lives - how we need ebb and flow, high energy and low energy, social time and 'me' time. Our personal ratios differ, but the need to be mindful, to be more self-aware is universal I think.

Current Status: Heart breaking a little more at everything I read about the Grenfell Tower tragedy.. ??

CFI in case it's of interest. https://www.acast.com/foodandpsych

~hug~ So sorry your month has taken such a turn. Not sure what I can do to help from here.

@kdfrawg I've been mostly on Twitter for all the political stuff, and deliberately try to avoid political things here on the whole, so there's not been much free time left for here or Pnut.

Odette shared this with me yesterday, tickled my sense of humour no end. (Mostly works if you've been to NI and seen the different Republican and Nationalist estates…)Image

Well, that was interesting.
Some highlights for me:

  • Significant bump in voter turnout amongst 18-24 year olds
  • Hung parliament means tories will be reliant on DUP (if they're willing to offer support, not a given) - which means soft Irish border will be a key outcome of Brexit negotiations, which almost certainly means no hard Brexit
  • Likely we'll see May ousted regardless of anything else, and I'd imagine Johnson / Davis / Fox will follow

How're you feeling today?

Thanks. It was at the weekend..

Thanks for all the Happy Birthdays, and the references to 42. :-)
As many have guessed I'm now '21 again', and plan to enjoy, as much as possible, a year of introspection and personal growth. I'll reflect back next year on how successful I've been - it's all too easy to fall back into habitual activities and distractions…
